Donna Korchinski is the NetNews creator. She has experience as a creative and
innovative journalist, television producer, communicator and educator. Her
credits include nine and a half years as a television journalist with the
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) Edmonton, and a freelance journalist
with CBC's the fifth estate, CBC Radio, The Financial Post, the Globe &
Mail, Reuters, Dow Jones/Wall Street Journal and various print publications.
She has education experience as a Communications Instructor at Mount Royal
College in Calgary, Alberta majoring in radio and television production.

Barbara Dacks has worked as a professional writer in Alberta for more than 23 years. Her contract writing/editing clients include the University of Alberta, Athabasca University, Alberta Historical Resources Foundation, Alberta Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission, and the Government of Alberta. She has published freelance articles in Maclean's, America West, Canadian, Western Living, WestWorld, and Edmonton magazines. She co-authored Cast a Thin Shadow, with Dr. Joan Borland, (Bantam-Seal, 1984). She has worked as a news reporter for CBC radio, scriptwriter for CITV and CKUA Radio, and has taught non-fiction writing for Lakeland College, and creative writing for the Edmonton Public School Board. She wrote a chapter, Risking Business, for Consciousness Rising (Gynergy Books, 1999). Currently, she owns, publishes, and edits Legacy, an award-winning Alberta cultural heritage magazine which she founded in 1995. |
